He is Board Certified in Behavioral and Cognitive Psychology and Clinical Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP), which is the oldest and most respected governing specialty board in North America. He is also an EMDRIA Certified EMDR therapist.

Dr. Garcia’s education, specialty trainings, clinical as well as diverse life experiences,

CLINICAL TRAINING

Dr. Garcia completed his pre-doctoral training at the University of California, San Diego and post-doctoral residency at Arizona Biodyne, a subsidiary of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. He is specialized in various evidence-based psychotherapies, which are brief, structured treatments, to effectively treat various psychological conditions. Dr. Garcia continually attends professional seminars to develop and maintain his clinical acumen.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

Dr. Garcia has been practicing as a psychologist for almost 20 years. He has worked in the following clinical settings: university counseling centers, community health agencies, VA hospitals, and private practice. These clinical experiences have allowed him to work with many different populations, presenting with various clinical disorders.
