Highly skilled and informed by the best available research and clinical wisdom, Dr. Garcia tailors treatments to meet each client’s unique personality, preferences, and goals. He is Board Certified in Behavioral and Cognitive Psychology and Clinical Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP), which is the oldest and most respected governing specialty board in North America. He is also an EMDRIA Certified EMDR therapist.

Dr. Garcia’s education, specialty trainings, clinical as well as diverse life experiences, allow him to approach psychological problems from multiple vantage points, which aid him in effectively helping his clients. He is committed to providing the highest standard of care.

Dr. Garcia completed his pre-doctoral training at the University of California, San Diego and post-doctoral residency at Arizona Biodyne, a subsidiary of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. He is specialized in various evidence-based psychotherapies, which are brief, structured treatments, to effectively treat PTSD, depression, anxiety, OCD, and couples. Dr. Garcia continually attends professional seminars to develop and maintain his clinical acumen.


Dr. Garcia has over 20 years working in the mental health field. He has worked in the following clinical settings: university counseling centers, community health agencies, VA hospitals, and private practice. These clinical experiences have allowed him to work with many different populations, presenting with various clinical disorders.
